CHECKING THE WIRE CONNECTIONS

Check:
• Wire connections
Poor connection → Properly connect.
CHECKING THE MAIN SWITCH
Refer to "CHECKING THE MAIN SWITCH"
on page 8-18.

CHECKING THE STARTER RELAY

Check:
• Starter relay continuity
No continuity → Replace.
Checking steps
(1) Connect the tester and battery between
the starter relay terminals.
Positive digital tester probe
Starter relay terminal
Negative digital tester probe
Starter relay terminal
Positive battery terminal → → → →
Brown lead
Negative battery terminal → → → →

Black lead
(2) Check that there is continuity between
the starter relay terminals.
