Troubleshooting

Trouble
The watch has stopped operating.
The watch gains/loses time.
Blur in the display persists.
The second hand moves at two-second intervals.

Even if the watch is worn daily on your wrist, you may fi nd the second
hand moving at two-second intervals from time to time.

Possible cause
All the electrical energy stored in the secondary
battery has been used up.
The watch has been left in extremely high or low
or temperature for a long time.
The watch was brought into close contact with
a magnetic object.
You dropped the watch, hit it against a hard
surface or wore it while playing active sports.
The watch was exposed to strong vibrations.
Small amount of water has got inside the watch
due to deterioration of the gasket, etc.
The electrical energy stored in the secondary battery
has been reduced to an extremely low level.
The watch is covered by the cuff of the clothes
and cannot receive light suffi ciently.
AM/PM is not properly set.

Solution
Recharge the watch.
Return the watch to a normal temperature so that it works accurately as
usual, and then reset the time.
Correct this condition by moving and keeping the watch away from the magnetic source. If this
action does not correct the condition, contact the retailer from whom the watch was purchased.
Reset the time. If the watch does not return to its normal accuracy after
resetting the time, contact the retailer from whom the watch was purchased.
Consult the retailer from whom the watch was purchased.
Recharge the watch.
Wear the watch in such a manner that it is not covered by the cuff of the clothes.
When the watch is not in use, leave it in a bright place as long as possible.
Advance the hands by 12 hours.
