Initial start-up and functions

1 PP 1SUB Connector
This output is solely used to connect a PP 1SUB
amplifier. It provides both power supply and the
audio signal for the sub amp.
The PP 41DSP will automatically detect if a PP
1SUB is connected and change the highpass filters
of the front and rear channels for optimized use in
combination with a MATCH subwoofer. In general
the sound setups are optimized for the combina-
tion with the subwoofers PP 7E-D or PP 7S-D (if
not otherwise stated on the bottom label of the PP
41DSP).
Note: There's no audio signal available on this out-
put if no PP 1SUB is connected!
2 Remote Control
This port allows connecting two different kinds
of remote controls. On one hand the optionally
available Demo Remote Control – DRC is the right
choice to demonstrate the acoustical benefit of the
PP 41DSP amplifier. You can toggle between the
original sound system without any DSP processing
and the optimized car-specific setup. On the other
hand the subwoofer remote control (which comes
with the PP 1SUB amplifier) allows reducing the
subwoofer level. All MATCH setups are already op-
timized for perfect bass response so that it will not
be possible to further increase the sub level with
this remote control.
3 System Connector
Please use this terminal only in combination with
the cable harness that is included in the delivery of
the amplifier. Never ever use any other harnesses
to connect the MATCH PP 41DSP to your car radio.
Caution: The use of other harnesses than the
one that is supplied with the amplifier may cause
severe harm to the amplifier, your car radio and your
loudspeakers. In any case the warranty will be void!
4 DSP Setup push button ▲
This push button allows selecting one of the DSP
setups that are stored in the internal memory. After
a short press the 2-digit LED display on the top side
of the amplifier indicates the active setup. When
keeping the push button pressed for more than
one second the display starts incrementing. The
memory inside the amp may contain a maximum
of 16 different DSP setups. If less than 16 setups
are stored, empty memory cells will be skipped
automatically.
5 DSP Setup push button ▼
This push button allows selecting one of the DSP
setups that are stored in the internal memory. After
a short press the 2-digit LED display on the top side
of the amplifier indicates the active setup. When
keeping the push button pressed for more than
one second the display starts decrementing. The
memory inside the amp may contain a maximum
of 16 different DSP setups. If less than 16 setups
are stored, empty memory cells will be skipped au-
tomatically.

6 Service interface

This interface is only dedicated for servicing and
updating of the device. Please note that it is impos-
sible to upload standard DSP setup files from the
Audiotec Fischer website into this amplifier! Any ab-
use of this service interface will void warranty.
7 Status LED
The status LED indicates the operation mode of the
amplifier. Green means that the amp is ready-to-
use and the currently selected DSP setup is loaded.
If the LED lights up in red, the internal memory is
empty and no DSP setup can be loaded.
