Using Voice Destination Entry

Street, Highway, Route Names

Note:
See "House Numbers" on page 42 for instructions on entering house numbers.
When using voice destination entry, consider the guidelines below:
Numbered
Routes
0 - 99
Say each one or two digit
number as it appears,
NOT by the individual dig-
its that make up the num-
ber.
100-999
Say the first digit by itself
and the second and third
digits as a separate num-
ber.
Exception: If the second
digit is a zero, it is pro-
nounced as the letter 'O'
and the first and third
digits are pronounced
individually.
1,000-9,999
Say the first two digits as
one number and the sec-
ond two digits as another
number.
Exception: Some alter-
nates can be used when
a zero appears within the
name.

House Numbers

Speak house numbers using the following conventions:
For:
Numbers
Say numbers as individ-
ual digits.
Zeros
Always say "Zero" rather
than the letter "O".
