    Note: Create a backup of the data contained on the memory card provided. This is very easy to do with the NAVIGON Fresh software which is included on the CD provided or can be downloaded free of charge from our webseite www.navigon.com.

    Note: Without delay, plug the USB connector into the navigation device as far it will go! (See "Troubleshooting" on page 68) During charging, the LED on the bottom of the NAVIGON 81xx shines with an orange light. The LED goes out again when the NAVIGON 81xx is fully charged.

    You can copy these data to another memory card or save them on your PC. To do so, use the NAVIGON Fresh software which is included on the CD provided or can be downloaded free of charge from www.navigon.com.

    N, NE, E, SE, S, SW, W, NW. TMC (Traffic Information) The NAVIGON 81xx has an integrated TMC receiver which provides the navigation system with traffic information updates. Dynamic route changes are possible if necessary, e.g. in order to avoid a traffic jam.

    Call in Progress (green mobile phone): The hands-free module of the NAVIGON 81xx is being used at the moment for a call. FM Transmitter The NAVIGON 81xx has an integrated FM transmitter. This means that you can listen to all audio outputs via the car radio's loudspeakers.

    User’s manual NAVIGON 81xx Note: The Cyrillic alphabet has more letters than places available on the Cyrillic keyboard. The missing letters are included on the keyboard with Cyrillic special characters. 5.3.2 Entering data Often, lists appear from which you can select an entry. This is the case, for example, when you enter the name of a town.

    As soon as the navigation device has been switched on, initialisation of the GPS receiver will begin. The integrated GPS receiver is not initialised for the first time until the navigation application is started for the first time. It can take up to 20 minutes to initialise the GPS receiver for the first time.

    User’s manual NAVIGON 81xx Note: It is not necessary to enter all the address details. If you specify the town only, the navigation system will calculate a route to the town centre. If you specify only the town and street without specifying a house number or cross street, the navigation system will calculate the best route to this street.

    I have connected a charger to the NAVIGON 81xx. A connection to a computer is shown on the display. I have connected the NAVIGON 81xx to a computer but it is not detected as a removable disc. The USB connector of the charger is not fully inserted in the case.
