The HSD 8450 can be convert an Audio-CD or single tracks from an Audio-CD into the MP3
format and store them on USB or Card Media. The CD Ripping function can not convert
Audio-CD which have any kind of copy protection inside.
How to convert an Audio track or an Audio-CD into the MP3 file format?
1. Place an Audio-CD without copy protection on the tray and close the loader. He
HSD 8450 starts the playback of the Audio-CD automatically.
2. Connect an external memory like USB stick or SD/MMC/MS card.
3. Press during the playback of the Audio-CD the CD RIP button on the remote control
and following menu appears on the screen:
With the navigation buttons
BITRATE, CREATE ID TAG, DEVICE and the bottom bar. With the navigation buttons
you can change between the options and track sections. The option are in detailed:
a. Speed
Here you can define the CD Ripping speed. The settings are "NORMAL" which
means a real time conversion with listening the music. And the setting "FAST" in-
creases the conversion, but than you couldn't hear the music.
b. Bit rate
Here you can define the uses bit rate by the conversion of the audio track into MP3.
In general the more the bit rate the merrier is the quality of the MP3 file. Please use
the setting 128 kbps.
