Removing the Control Panel Assembly

 
CAUTION:
Many repairs may only be done by a certified service technician. You should only perform troubleshooting and simple repairs as
authorized in your product documentation, or as directed by the online or telephone service and support team. Damage due to servicing that is not
authorized by Dell is not covered by your warranty. Read and follow the safety instructions that came with the product.
 
1. Open the system. See

2. Disconnect the control panel cables. See Figure C-1.
 
3. Using a #2 Phillips screwdriver, remove the two screws that secure the control panel assembly to the chassis. See Figure C-1.
 
4. Carefully lift the back of the control panel assembly to clear the chassis mounting studs, and remove the assembly from the system.

Installing the Control Panel Assembly

1. Align the control panel assembly's mounting holes with the chassis mounting studs, and lower the assembly over the studs. See Figure C-1.
 
2. Using a #2 Phillips screwdriver, install the two screws that secure the control panel assembly to the chassis. See Figure C-1.
