3.Ifthebattery p ack does notcharge p roperly:
a.Check c urrent atreceptacle byplugging inalamp orother
appliance.
b.Check t oseeif receptacle isconnected toa light s witch
which t urns power offwhen you turnout t helights.
c.Move charger andbattery p ack toa location where t he
surrounding
airtemperature
isapproximately
60°F and 80°F
(16 °-27°C).
d.Ifcharging problems persist, take thetool, b attery p ack and
charger toyour l ocal s ervice c enter.
4.Thebattery p ack should b erecharged when itfails toproduce
sufficient power onjobs which were easily d one previously. DO
NOT CONTINUE
touseunder these conditions. Follow t hecharging
procedure. Youmay also charge a partially used pack whenever
youdesire w ith noadverse a ffect o nthebattery p ack.
5.Foreign m aterials ofaconductive nature s uch as,butnotlimited
to,steel wool, a luminum f oil,oranybuildup o fmetallic particles
should b ekept a way f rom charger cavities. Always u nplug t he
charger from thepower supply w hen t here isnobattery p ack inthe
cavity. Unplug c harger before a ttempting toclean.
6.Donot f reeze orimmerse charger inwater o ranyother l iquid.
ZhWARNING:
Shock hazard. Do not allow any liquid to get inside
charger. Never attempt to open the battery pack for any reason. If the
plastic housing of the battery pack breaks or cracks, return to a service
center for recycling.
zLWARNING-
Make certain the lock-off button is engaged to
prevent switch actuation before removing or installing battery.
TO INSTALL
BATTERY PACK:
Insert battery pack into tool until
an audible click is heard
(figure B/C).
TO REMOVE BATTERY
PACK: Depress the battery
release button in the back of the
battery pack and pull battery pack
out of tool (figure B/C).
