INSTALLING THE BATTERIES
The CPS Turbo uses four AA alkaline batteries. The CPS
Turbo requires the extra power of alkalines and might not
perform properly with standard or rechargeable
batteries.
1.
Move the battery compart-
ment cover by pressing it
in
the direction of the
ar-
row.
2.
Install four new AA batter-
ies,
observing the polarity
(+and-)
symbols marked
inside
the battery
com-
partment.
3. If you are installing batter-
ies for the first
time,
press
and hold the [CANCEL]
key.
Then
,
use a pen or
pencil to press the
[RE-
SET] button inside the
battery compartment. The
re-set feature is a two step
process to prevent acci
-
dental
use.
RESET
Caution: Press [CANCEL] and [RESET] only when you
are installing batteries for the first time
. Press-
ing [CANCEL] and [RESET]
erases
all learned
commands in the CPS Turbo's memory. See
"Troubleshooting."
4.
Replace the compartment
cover.
Notes:
A set of batteries provides power for up to six months
of normal use.
However,
to avoid loss of the learned
commands
and command
sequences,
replace the bat-
teries as soon as you see the BATTERY LOW symbol
appear on the
display.

The CPS Turbo retains learned commands and com
-
mand sequences in memory for 2 1/2 minutes without
batteries. Be sure you have new batteries ready to
install
before you remove the old
batteries.
The clock stops running when you remove the batter-
ies.
You must resetthe clock each time you
replace
the
batteries.
Never leave weak batteries in the CPS Turbo. They
can leak damaging chemicals.
Do not mix old and new
batteries.
