A minimum separation of 24 in. is required for the diversity system to be effective.

Figure 9 shows several antenna mounting configurations which will compromise the
performance of the SCV1 . Avoid mounting the antennas in any of these configurations:
• Don't mount the antennas closer than 24 inches to each other
• Don't mount one or both of the antennas inside the vehicle on the dashboard
• Don't mount one or both of the antennas on the trunk lid of a sedan
