SPECIAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

• The appliance gets hot very quickly
and takes a long time to cool down
again. Only touch the appliance
by the handle. Never place the
appliance close to flammable
materials (e.g. curtains).
• Always fit 2 identical plates, never 2
different ones.
• Do not use any plates other than
those supplied.
• Do not change the plates when they
are hot.
• Only using cooking utensils made
of wood or plastic, as the coating
on the plates may be damaged
otherwise.
• Please be aware that the appliance
may emit hot steam or grease
splashes during use. Be careful
when opening the appliance.
• Do not overfill the plates with batter
or other foodstuffs.
• Wipe the plates with a damp cloth
and allow them to dry before using
the appliance for the first time.

USE
• The appliance comes with 3 sets
of plates so it can be used as a
sandwich toaster, a waffle iron and a
contact grill.
• Click the required plates (E, F, G)
onto the appliance using the lock
dowels (A).
• Apply a little butter, margarine or oil
to the plates. Close the lid.
• Place the appliance on a flat, heat-
resistant surface and plug it in.
• The red indicator light comes on
and the appliance begins to heat
up. Once the appliance has reached
the correct temperature, the green
thermostat light will come on.
The green thermostat light comes
on and goes off as the heating
elements come on and go off.
• You may experience a small amount
of smoke or odour the first few
times the appliance is used. This is
normal.
• Open the lid. Place the foodstuffs
or pour the batter onto the bottom
plates and close the lid again.
Sandwiches and waffles typically
cook in 2-3 minutes. Grilled meat
often takes longer.
• Open the lid and remove the food
with a wooden spatula once it is
cooked as required.
CLEANING
• Always switch off the appliance at
the wall socket and unplug before
cleaning.
• Clean the outside of the appliance
using a damp cloth and, if
necessary, a little washing-up liquid.
• Replace the plates once they have
cooled and wash them in a little
warm water and washing-up liquid.
Dry the plates.
