Labeling channels

Channel labels appear with the channel number display
each time you turn on the TV, select a channel, or press
DISPLAY.
You can choose any 7 characters to identify a channel.
To create channel labels

Select "Channels" ⇒ "Channel Labels".

Press ▶ or SELECT.

Press ▲ or ▼ repeatedly until the character you want appears
in the first space.

If the character which you desire appears, press ▶.
You can move back or forward by pressing the ◀ or ▶.
Repeat this step to enter the rest of the characters, then press
SELECT.

Repeat steps 2-3 for other channels. You can assign a label to
each channel. You will have to tune to the channel you would
like to label first before labeling it.

When you finish inputting the label name, press EXIT to return
to normal viewing.

• The channel labels will be reseted after "Auto Scan" on page 18.

Setting the Parental Control

An age limitation can be set to restrict children from viewing
or hearing violent scenes or pictures that you may choose to
exclude. The restriction applies to "TV", "Movie", "Canada English
Rating" and "Canada French Rating" if this data is transmitted.
You may set this restriction separately. To use the Parental
Control function, you must register a password.
To enter a password

Select "Advanced", then press ▼.

Press 0000 using Direct Channel Selection Buttons (0-9).
(This is default password.)

" " appears instead of the number.
NOTE:
• If you forget your password, use the factory password 9999, you
can then gain access to change your password if necessary.
• To avoid forgetting the password, write it down and keep in a
safe place.
How to enter the Program Blocked menu

Select "Advanced" menu, then press ▼.

Use Direct Channel Selection Buttons (0-9) to enter your
password.
