INTRODUCTION
Thank you for choosing a Vello Lens Adapter. Vello Lens Adapters allow you to mount a
camera body to a telescope, spotting scope, microscope, or certain lenses. You must also have
an SLR camera adapter that fits your telescope. You'll also need to minimize shutter release
vibrations that can cause blurring during the long exposures typical with these optics. Vello
makes a wide range of remotes and shutter release cables to control your shutter. Telescopes
and microscopes are not built to support heavy SLRs. Make certain your setup is secure. Please
follow the instructions below to mount and remove your Vello Lens Adapter.
Automatic diaphragm (AE metering), and other functions dependent on communication between the
camera body and lens, will be disrupted by a lens adapter. You must set exposures manually or meter in
aperture priority (stop-down) mode. If the lens does not have a manual aperture collar, the aperture will
be stopped to its smallest f/stop. Focusing to infinity is retained.
