INTRODUCTION The Vello Auto Lens Adapter – Canon EF/EF-S Lens to Canon EOS-M Camera can expand the arsenal of lenses for your Canon EOS-M camera using lenses you already own. With this adapter, you can mount any Canon EF or EF-S lens to a Canon EOS-M camera.

When using an EF lens, there will be a crop factor of 1.6x, so that the apparent focal length of the lens will be 1.6x of the actual focal length. With EF-S lenses, there is no apparent change in the focal length. All camera functions will operate normally, including auto focus, auto exposure, and touch-screen modes.

ATTACHING THE LENS ADAPTER 1. Turn the camera’s power off. 2. Remove the rear lens cap, camera body cap, and lens adapter caps. 3. With an EF lens, align the inner red dot on the lens adapter with the red dot on the lens. With an EF-S lens, align the white square on the lens adapter with the white square...

4. Slowly and carefully insert the lens into the adapter and carefully rotate it clockwise until it clicks into place.

5. Align the white mark on the lens adapter with the white lens attachment mark on the camera and slowly rotate the adapter and lens clockwise until it clicks into place on the camera. Note: In order to use auto focus with the camera, be sure that the lens is set to auto focus.

REMOVING THE LENS ADAPTER 1. Turn the camera’s power off. 2. Hold down the lens release button on the camera and rotate the lens and adapter counterclockwise until they come to a stop. Remove from the camera.

3. Hold down the release button on the adapter mount, and remove the lens by rotating it counterclockwise until it comes to a stop. 4. Separate the lens from the adapter mount. 5. Replace the rear lens cap, camera body cap, and lens adapter caps.

MOUNTING / REMOVING THE TRIPOD COLLAR 1. Align the tripod collar mounting screw with the mounting hole on the bottom of the lens adapter.

2. Carefully rotate the mounting wheel on the tripod collar clockwise until the tripod collar is securely attached to the lens adapter.

3. To remove the tripod collar, rotate the mounting wheel counterclockwise until the collar is loose enough to remove from the lens adapter. Note: When attaching a lens that’s equipped with a built-in tripod collar to the lens adapter, use the tripod collar on the lens to mount it to a tripod.
