Service Adjustment Procedures

Item/preparation
+B Voltage Confirmation
1. Operate the set.
2. Set controls:
Bright..........................minimum
Contrast......................minimum
Volume........................minimum
RF AGC (Main picture) (MARKET MODE CHK2)
1. Receive a colour bar pattern.
2. Set the input level to
TX-51P100X/H/HQ/HZ : 62dB (+1/-2 dB)
TX-51P100HL : 59dB (+1/-2 dB)
(75Ω opened)
3. Connect an oscilloscope to TPA1 with DC mode.
RF AGC 2 (Sub picture)
1. Receive a colour bar pattern.
2. Set the input level to
TX-51P100X/H/HQ/HZ : 70dB (+1/-2 dB)
TX-51P100HL : 67dB (+1/-2 dB)
(75Ω opened)
3. Connect an oscilloscope to TPA8 with DC mode.
PAL Colour Output
1. Receive PAL colour bar pattern.
2. Connect an oscilloscope to TPA14 (A-Board).
3. Connect a 22kΩ jumper between TPA50 and TPA51 (A-
Board).
4. Set controls:
Picture menu..........DYNAMIC NORMAL
P.AI........................OFF
PWL.......................OFF
NTSC Colour Output
1. Apply 3.58MHz NTSC Rainbow pattern.
2. Connect an oscilloscope to TPA13 (A-Board).
3. Connect a 22 kΩ jumper between TPA50 and TPA51 (A-
Board).
4. Set controls :
Picture menu..........DYNAMIC NORMAL
P.AI.........................OFF
PWL........................OFF
SECAM Colour Output
1. Receive SECAM colour bar pattern.
2. Connect an oscilloscope to TPA14(A-Board).
3. Connect a 22kΩ jumper between TPA50 and TPA51(A-Board).
4. Set controls :
Picture menu..........DYNAMIC NORMAL
P.AI.........................OFF
PWL........................OFF
Adjustment Procedure
Confirm the following voltages.
1. Pin 1 of connector D3
2. Pin 4 of connector D12
3. Pin 8 of connector D12
4. Pin 1 of connector D13
5. Pin 5 of connector D13
6. Pin 1 of connector D11
7. Pin 7 of connector D3
8. Pin 8 of connector D13
9. Pin 3 of connector D3
10. Pin 1 of connector D14
11. Pin 8 of connector D11
12. TPCP1 : 22±2V
13. TPCP2 : -22±2V
14. TPCP3 : 14±1.5V
15. TPCP4 : -14±1.5V
1. Set the TV to MARKET MODE [CHK2 mode].
2. Adjust RF AGC Control so that the voltage at TPA1 becomes 6.2 ±
0.5V.
3. Increase the input level by 2dB and confirm that the voltage
changes.
1. Adjust TNR002 so that the volt-
age at TPA8 becomes 6.2 ±
0.5V.
2. Increase the input level by 2dB
and confirm that the voltage
changes.
1. Adjust Sub Colour control.
A=2.4 ± 0.05
1. Confirm that the waveform:
A=1.9 ± 0.2Vp-p
1. Confirm that the waveform:
A=2.0 ± 0.2Vp-p

: 130.0±2.0V
: 26.0±2.0V
: 15.5±1.5V
: 15.5±1.5V
: 9.0±1.5V
: 6.4±0.24V
: -15.5±1.5V
: 12.0±0.5V
: 40.0±2.0V (open)
: 32.0±2.0V (short)
: 6.5±1V
