I. Required Maintenance for the Emission Control System
at 1,000 miles Maintenance service required
Valves (check rocker arm shafts for tightness *)
Adjust V-belt

Change Engine oil
Replace Oil filter
Clean Oil strainer
Clean Magnetic drain plug
Check-kadjust
Exhaust emission
Check-kadjust Hand throttle lever

Fuel filter
Check Fuel cap, tank, Lines and connections
Air filter cartridge
Check Dwell angle
Check Timing
Spark plugs
Ignition wiring
Distributor cap/rotor
Crankcase vent hoses
Filter for crankcase ventilation system
Evaporative emission control system
Activated charcoal filter
Note: The recommended service intefials apply under normal driving conditions. When driving on dusty roads check air filter cartridge
more often and replace if necessary. The condition of tires, brakes and clutch lining depends greatly on the amount of driving and on
driving habits and should possibly be checked at shorter intervals. A complete lubrication and maintenance service as well as protection
against corrosion should be carried out at least once a year, preferably before the winter.
