OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR UNIT AND REMOTE CONTROL
Set-up
• Place the fan on a level and dry surface.
• Plug the power cord into a polarized 120 Volt AC wall outlet.
Operation Instructions
On/Off Activation:
To turn the fan on, press the Power button once. A red light will illuminate
behind the button indicating the power is turned on.
Press the Power button again to turn the fan off.
Speed Control:
The fan will automatically start on the Low Speed setting upon the initial
start-up. Low speed is indicated by a red illuminated speed control button.
To adjust the speed, press the fan speed button once for Medium speed
which will be indicated by a orange light behind the button, or twice for High
speed which is indicated by a green illuminated button.
Note: When the fan is turned off and restarted using the Power button, it will
operate in the same speed setting that it was last set to.
Oscillation Control: To activate the Internal Oscillation feature, press the Oscillation button
once. Press the Oscillation button again to turn the Oscillation feature off.
The feature, when activated, will be indicated by a red illuminated Oscillation
button.
Note: When in Oscillation mode, you will not see the fan rotating left to right.
The oscillation mechanism is located inside the fan.
Timer Feature:
The auto shut-off timer can be set for 2, 4, or 8 hours.
2 hours: Press the Timer button once. The button will illuminate in red.
4 hours: Press the Timer button twice. The button will illuminate in orange.
8 hours: Press the Timer button a third time. The button will illuminate in
green.
Press the Timer button a forth time to turn the Timer feature off.
Breeze Mode:
To activate the Breeze mode, press the breeze button once. The button will
illuminate in red.
(HY-022 and
HY-026 only)
Note: The Breeze mode feature will simulate outdoor breezes by
automatically increasing and decreasing the fan speed in a random manner.

Water Feature:
With the fan in the off position and unplugged, remove the water tank from
the lower portion of the fan (Fig 9). Fill the tank to the fill line (approximate
(HY-030 only)
1/3 gallon). Fit the water tank securely back in to the recessed tank area.
Turn the fan on.

To activate the water feature press the Water Feature button once.
The back-lit button will illuminate red.
To turn the water feature off, press the Water Feature button a second time.
Note: To scent the air add a few drops of scented oil to the water tank.

CLEANING AND STORAGE

• Unplug the fan before cleaning.
• Use only a soft, damp cloth to gently wipe the outer surfaces of the fan clean.
• To clean between the grilles, we recommend using a pipe cleaner, flexible dustwand, vacuum cleaner or
compressed air to gently remove the dust.
• DO NOT immerse the fan in water and never allow water to drip into the motor housing.
• DO NOT use gasoline, paint thinner or other chemicals to clean the fan.
• For storage, clean the fan carefully as instructed. Store the fan in the original packaging or cover the
product to protect it from dust. Store the fan in a cool, dry place.
