MCF Adjustment (2)
 Set the VFO-A frequency to 50.000 MHz in the
FM mode.
 Set the following controls as indicated:
[ANT] : ANT 1
[IPO] : AMP2
[ATT] : OFF
[R.FLT] : AUTO
[AGC] : AUTO
[RF GAIN] : Fully clockwise
 Connect the SINAD meter and 4 Ohm dummy
load to the EXT SP jack.
 Connect the RF Signal Generator to the "ANT
1" jack, then set the output level to –10 ~ 0 dBµ
at the 50.000 MHz with ±3.5 kHz deviation FM
modulation of a 1 kHz audio signal.
 Adjust T1038 and T1034 on the MAIN Unit in
succession several times for maximum deflec-
tion on the SINAD meter.
Note: Do not adjust T1038 and T1034 more than
90 degrees rotation.

Noise Blanker Circuit Adjustment
 Set the VFO-A frequency to 14.200 MHz in the
CW-USB mode.
 Set the following controls as indicated:
[ANT] : ANT 1
[IPO] : AMP1
[ATT] : OFF
[R.FLT] : AUTO
[AGC] : AUTO
[NB] : ON (for short-duration pulse noise)
[RF GAIN] knob: Fully clockwise
 Connect the Digital DC voltmeter (high-Z) to
TP1034 on the MAIN Unit.
 Connect the RF Signal Generator to the "ANT
1" jack, then set the output level to 30 dBµ at
14.200 MHz.
 Adjust T1024, T1023 and T1019 on the MAIN
Unit for minimum deflection on the DC voltme-
ter.
 Turn the NB to "OFF".
