paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws, or other small metal objects t h a t can
make a connection f r o m one terminal t o another. Shorting t h e battery
terminals together m a y cause sparks, burns, or a fire.
18. Maintain tools w i t h care. Keep c u t t i n g tools sharp and clean. Properly
maintained tools with sharp cutting edge are less likely t o
bind
and are easier
t o control.

Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts, and
any other condition t h a t m a y a f f e c t the tool's operation. I f damaged, have
