To select a program type:
While listening to FM
radio, press the
OPT
hardkey. Then press the
Dis
multifunction key repeatedly until
Disp. PTY
appears
in the display.

The radio waits a few seconds and then the display
shows the station program type if it is available. ROCK
is the PTY for the display shown below.
There are 2 ways to select the program type: (1)
repeatedly press the Pty multifunction key to display all
of the program types available in your area, or (2) turn
the right knob clockwise or counter-clockwise.
Radio Operation
Once the desired program type appears in the
display, press the right knob in to activate the
program type.
When a program type is active, turning the right knob
only stops at the active program type. If only 1 pro-
gram of that type is available, turning the knob does
not change the display. If no PTY is available for the
station, the time appears on the display.
During scan or manual tuning when PTY is active, the
radio only stops at stations of the chosen type.
