3. Press the function key underneath "Select". The symbol is added to the name at the cursor
position (Fig. 17).
Alternatively, you can also press
briefly until the cursor has moved forward.
Name mode
When editing names, the default setting is "name mode" which eliminates the need to toggle between
small and capital letter modes.
A capital letter will automatically be used at the beginning of the name (Fig. 18, below) and after a
space between first and last name, for example (Fig. 20 and 21, below), as indicated by the letters
"Abc" below the text field.
The capital first letter is followed by small letters. As soon as the cursor has moved forward
to the second letter, the mode indication changes to "abc" (Fig. 19 and 21). It is normally not
necessary to switch back and forth between small and capital letter modes, unless you want to do
so.

In capital and small letter modes, letters will be typed in all caps (Fig. 23) or small letters (Fig. 24),
respectively.

Phone numbers

Only the numerals 1-9 and 0, the asterisk *, and the pound/hash # symbols will be accepted by the
phone (Fig. 25). Letters, special symbols, and spaces cannot be used.
Pausing between characters is not necessary when entering numerals in numeral mode. The
cursor will move forward without delay.
Press the function key underneath "Clear" to delete the character to the left of the cursor.
