Press the PTT switch to send the ID number.
Note: If the ID number you are trying to send is not
a valid ID number for the system, the display will
show "INVALID ENTRY" for a few seconds, then
the radio will go back to the beginning of step 3
again.
5a. If you hear one beep , the ID number has been
received by the system, but the radio you are
paging is not on the air; your radio remains in the
Call Alert mode. You can either go back to step 4
and press the PTT switch to send the ID number
again, or press the HOME key to hang up and
return to the home display.
Note: If after six seconds the called radio fails to
acknowledge the alert, a low-pitched alert tone
s o u n d s a n d t h e d i s p l a y c h a n g e s t o "N O
ACKNOWLEDGE". Try again or press the HOME
key to exit
or
5b. If you hear five beeps , the ID number has been
received by the system, and the radio you are
paging is on the air and has received your page.
The radio automatically returns to the home
display.
