Detergents
Powdered Detergent
There are 3 different compositions of powdered
:
detergents
1) With phosphate and with chlorine
2) With phosphate and without chlorine
3) Without phosphate and without chlorine
Powdered dishwasher detergent does not normally
include phosphate. Thus, the water softener function
of phosphate is not given. In this case, we recommend
filling the salt dispenser with salt even when the
hardness of water is only 6 dH. If you choose not to
add salt, increase the amount of detergent used, as
this will help prevent white spots from appearing on
dishes.
Detergents without chlorine may leave colored spots.
In order to avoid this, choose a wash program with
a higher wash temperature when using detergent
without chlorine.
Concentrated Detegent
There are 2 different compositions of concentrated
detergents:
1) Conventional: Alkaline with caustic components
2) Low alkaline with natural enzymes
The use of concentrated detergent with a "normal"
wash program reduces energy usage as this wash
cycle is matched to the dirt dissolving properties
of the enzymes of the concentrated detergent. Using
other types of non concentrated detergents, would
require using an "intensive" wash program to achieve
the same wash result.
Detergent Tablets
Different brands of detergent tablets dissolve at different
speeds. As a result, some detergent tablets do not
dissolve and achieve their full cleaning power in
shorter wash programs. Therefore, choose a longer
wash program when using detergent tablets in order
to achieve optimal wash performance.

DISHWASHER DISPENSERS (Continued)
Filling the Detergent Dispenser
The detergent dispenser must be refilled before the
start of each wash cycle. Your dishwasher uses
less detergent and rinse aid than conventional
dishwashers. Generally, only 1 tablespoon
of detergent is needed for running a "normal"
wash program. More heavily soiled items will
require more detergent.
1) To open detergent dispenser lid, push latch.
2)Fill the detergent dispenser:
a) For main wash cycle
b) For pre-was cycle
* Please check detergent packaging label
for amount of detergent use.
