COLLET AND COLLET ADAPTOR
The grinder is equipped with a 1/4 in. (6.4 mm) collet for
receiving 1/4 in. (6.4 mm) diameter bits.
A 1/8 in. (3.2 mm) collet adapter is also included with
the grinder. When placed inside the collet, the collet
adaptor allows the grinder to receive 1/8 in. (3.2 mm)
diameter bits.
GRINDING WHEELS
The maximum diameter grinding wheels recommended
for use with a 1/4 in. (6.4 mm) collet is 1 in. (25.4 mm).
Grinding wheels should only be used when working with
hard materials. Do not use grinding wheels when
working with soft materials, such as nonferrous metals.
Grinding nonferrous metals such as aluminum, brass,
copper, etc. places extra load on the wheel and does
not allow it to cut as designed.
