Use

Activating and deactivating

• You can use the mains switch (11) to switch the unit to
standby or to switch it off.
• You can switch the unit on or to standby with the buttons
(1) or (24).When the unit is on, the button 1 and
the button of the currently selected signal source (5 – 8)
are illuminated.

Automatic activation/deactivation

Configure the automatic activation function with the AUTO
POWER (19) switch:
Auto The subwoofer will activate as soon as an audio sig-
nal is present at one of the input jacks. If there is no
audio signal for approx. 20 minutes, the subwoofer
will switch to standby.
On The subwoofer is always on.

Selecting the signal source

• Push the button for the respective input jack, which the
source feeder is connected to. The text on the selected
button will light up.
If you have connected the units as shown in the example
on page 11, you must select the signal sources on Motiv 2 as
follows:
Signal source Input jack

Adjusting the volume

Adjusting the system volume

• Using the remote control: Push the buttons VOL +/–
(32).
• On the unit:
If necessary, push the button SUB (2) to turn off its light-
ing. Then adjust the volume for the entire system using
the Vol +/– (3) buttons.

Adjusting the subwoofer volume

• Using the remote control: Push the SUB +/– (29) but-
tons.
• On the unit:
If necessary, push the button SUB (2) to turn on its light-
ing. Then adjust the volume for the subwoofer system
using the Vol +/– (3) buttons.

Mute

• By pushing the button (33) repeatedly, you can turn
the sound off and on again.
