STARTING PROCEDURE

Ensure handbrake (A) is on and neutral is selected on
the column lever (B). The engine will not start if the
FNR selector lever is in either forward or reverse.
The starter switch has four stages
1. Off
2. On
3. Engine Heat
Engine Start
4.
To start the engine turn the key clockwise to the start
position, if the engine does not start within 20 seconds
return the key to the off position and leave the engine
another 2 minutes before reattempting to start again.
When the engine fires release the key and the spring
will automatically return to the on position. In cold
weather it may be necessary to use preheat.
Warning: Do not keep accelerator pedal
fully depressed when the engine has
started, do not race the engine until the
oil pressure warning light goes out. This
may lead to turbo-charger damage, due
to insufficient lubrications.
TO MOVE FORWARD/BACKWARDS
Push the FNR lever (B) in the desired direction of
travel. Select the required gear by pressing button (C)
on the gear selector lever and moving it into position.
When the desired gear is selected release the button.
Gears are selected by a standard H Pattern four speed to
select 1st forward left, 2nd back left, 3rd forward right
and 4th back right. To select each gear the button must
be used on top of the lever.
To move release the handbrake (D), the machine will
move in the desired direction of travel.
When stopping the engine always allow the revs to return naturally to idle
before turning the ignition switch to off. This will ensure the turbo has
slowed down and will not be starved of oil.
