Changing feature options

You can change how the answering system operates.
Press
repeatedly to hear each feature. Press
SETUP
when you hear the feature you want to modify.
CHANGE
Feature options (Default settings underlined)
System announces:
"Announcement. Press PLAY
or press RECORD. To con-
tinue setup, press SETUP."
Options: [record announcement]
"Remote access code. To
change the setting press
CHANGE."
Options: [enter 2-digit code] 19
"Message alert. To change the
setting press CHANGE."
Options: On / Off
"Announcement only, record
no messages. To change the
setting press CHANGE."

"Base ringer. To change the

NOTE: Press and hold CHANGE to advance the remote access
code number by 10.
NOTE: To temporarily disable the message alert tone, press any
answering machine key (TIME/SET, SETUP, CHANGE, REC/
MEMO, PLAY/STOP, DELETE, REPEAT and SKIP) on the base.
This turns off the audio message alert tone but the number in the message
window will continue to flash as a reminder that there are unreviewed mes-
sages on the answering system. The message alert tone will be re-activated
with the next incoming message.

Feature description:
Press REC/MEMO to record you
outgoing announcement (see page 32).
Press STOP to stop recording.
Enter a two-digit number (10-99) for remote
access from another phone (see page 38).
When the answering system is turned
on (the ANSWER ON/OFF light
is lit) and the message alert function is
activated, any new incoming message
will increase the flashing number in the
message window by one, and a beep
tone will sound every ten seconds as a
reminder that there are unreviewed mes-
sages on the answering system.
When on, callers hear an announcement
but cannot leave messages (see page 33).
Choose this option to turn the base ringer
on or off (does not affect handset).
Choose number of rings before the system
answers a call. When Toll Saver is active,
the system answers after 2 rings if you
have new messages, and after 4 rings if
you have no new messages.
