4. Align shear bolt holes in auger with shear
bolt holes in shaft.
5. Insert bolts through holes.
6. Secure bolts with nuts.
7. Tighten bolts to 7.9 – 16.5 N•m
(5.8 – 12.2 lbf-ft). If a torque wrench is
unavailable, tighten bolts until they no
longer spin freely. DO NOT overtighten.

ADJUSTMENTS

section before proceeding.

ADJUST HANDLEBAR HEIGHT

See Figure 19.
1. Place unit in service position (see
Figure 13) and remove bottom cover.
2. Remove top mounting bolt from both
sides of handlebar. Retain bolts.
• To raise handlebar, push handlebar
down and install bolts in lower mounting
holes.
• To lower handlebar, pull handlebar up
and install bolts in upper mounting
holes.
1. Top Mounting Bolt
2. Lower Mounting Hole
3. Upper Mounting Hole
3. Check tension on speed selector lever
and adjust if needed. See Adjust Speed
Selector Lever on page 18.
4. Check tension on auger and traction
clutch cables. See Adjust Attachment
Clutch & Brake on page 18 and Adjust
Traction Drive Clutch on page 20.
5. Reinstall bottom cover and return unit to
operating position.
