Maintenance – Inlet Water Filter
• Rinnai recommends that the inlet
water filter be cleaned before the
initial operation of a new unit.
• Before removing the inlet filter,
ensure that the water supply has
been turned off.
• If the tank is already full, it must be
drained from the drain valve at the
bottom of the tank.
• See filter location in picture at right.
• Remove any debris from the filter
either by rinsing or low pressure
compressed air.
• When reinstalling the filter assembly,
it should be hand tightened only.
