Installing SCSI HDDs
To install a SCSI hard disk drive (SCSI ID 0 and 1) in the 3.5-inch device bay:
1 Set the SCSI ID for the hard disk drive. For instructions, see
SCSI HDDs
2 Follow the instructions (except for the jumper settings) in
page 48.
To install a SCSI HDD (SCSI ID 2 and 3) in the 5.25-inch device bay:
1 Remove the front and side panels. For instructions, see
server panels
2 Set the SCSI-ID for the hard disk drive. For instructions, see
SCSI HDDs
3 Attach the adapter plate for the 5.25-inch device bay to the hard disk with the four
screws on the back side. Use "Screw A" supplied with the server.

4 Attach the two rails to the adapter plate for the 5.25-inch device bay and fasten each
rail with the two screws.
