Installing a PCI adapter

This section contains the procedure for installing a hot-plug PCI adapter.
Attention:
All hot-plug operations must be done through the operating system console (or sup-
ported user interface). Otherwise, the system might lock up or serious damage to
the adapter or system unit might occur.
Refer to the following illustrations of the rack model while you perform the steps in
this procedure.
