Hazard Warning Switch CI
All four turn signal lights and indi-
cators will flash simultaneously
when the switch is turned on with
the ignition switch in "ON" or "P"
position. Use the hazard warning
lights to warn other traffic during
emergency parking or when your
vehicle could otherwise become a
traffic hazard.
Electric Starter Button "ro" (4
Use this button to operate the
starter motor. With the ignition
switch in the "ON" position and
engine stop switch in the
"O"position, and the transmis-
sion is in neutral, pull in the clutch
lever and push the electric starter
button to start the engine.
NOTE: This motorcycle has a
start-er interlock system for the
ignition and starter circuit. The
engine can only be started if:
. The transmission is in neutral
and the clutch is disengaged,
or
. The transmission is in gear,
the side stand is fully up and
the clutch is disengaged.
CAUTION
To prevent electrical system
damage, do not operate the
starter motor longer than five
seconds at a time.
If the
engine does not start
after several attempts, check
the fuel supply and ignition
system. Refer to the TROUBLE-
SHOOTING section in this man-
uaL.
Throttle Grip CI
Engine speed is controlled by the
position of the throttle grip. Turn it
toward you to increase engine
speed. Turn it away from you to
decrease the engine speed.
