Patient Station Use

When "Current Time" and "Next Test Time" match, an alarm will sound alerting the patient to begin
motor testing (Figure 4). Tests may also be started by manually pressing 'my Tests' on the home
screen to complete a missed or cancelled test.
1. The 'Start Test' button will be disabled if the Charging Pad is not connected, or the Finger
Sensor is not placed properly in the center of the Charging Pad.
2. Place the Finger Sensor (Figure 2) on the index finger of the specified hand and do not
remove it for the duration of the test unless instructed to switch hands.
• The sensor box should be oriented up when the palm is faced down and fingers are
extended.
• There is an arrow on the sensor sticker (Figure 2). This arrow should be aligned with the
index finger tip. The point of the arrow should be directed away from the patient's body.
3. During motor testing sessions, the green LED located on the edge of the sensor box facing
the hand when worn will flash rapidly for 3 milliseconds every 2 seconds when connected to
a Bluetooth device.
4. When the testing session is complete, the patient will be instructed to return the Finger
Sensor to the Charging Pad.
• When the Finger Sensor is successfully placed, a 'Dock succeeded!' message will
appear on the screen.
• Similarly, the Finger Sensor must remain securely placed on the Charging Pad when not
in use.
• When the Finger Sensor is properly placed, a green light on the edge of the sensor box
facing the hand when worn will indicate different system states (Table 3).
