ROUBLESHOOTING
Problem
One or more of the fixtures
is completely dead.
Fixtures reset correctly but
respond erratically or not at
all to the controller.
No light and "LERR" error
message displayed.
Lamp cuts out intermittently.
If the service lamp is lit, check the SMSG menu using the control panel.
Probable cause(s)
No power to fixture.
Primary fuse blown (located near mains
inlet).
Secondary fuse(s) blown (located on
PCB inside base).
Bad data link.
Data link not terminated.
Incorrect addressing of the fixtures.
One of the fixtures is defective and
disturbs data transmission on the link.
XLR pin-out on fixtures does not match
(pins 2 and 3 reversed).
The power supply setting does not
match local AC voltage.
Lamp blown
Lamp not installed
Lamp access safety switch open
Lamp too hot to strike
Fixture is too hot.
The power supply setting does not
match local AC voltage.

Troubleshooting

Remedy
Check that power is switched on and cables
are plugged in.
Disconnect fixture and replace fuse.
Disconnect fixture. Check fuses on PCB and
replace.
Inspect connections and cables. Correct poor
connections. Repair or replace damaged
cables.
Insert termination plug in output jack of the
last fixture on the link.
Check fixture address and protocol settings.
Bypass one fixture at a time until normal
operation is regained: unplug the XLR in and
out connectors and connect them directly
together. Have the fixture serviced by a
qualified technician.
Install a phase-reversing cable between the
fixtures or swap pins 2 and 3 in the fixture that
behaves erratically.
Disconnect fixture. Check the fixture's internal
power supply switch is set to the correct AC
supply voltage.
Disconnect fixture and replace lamp.
Disconnect fixture and install lamp.
Verify that lamp access plate is fully seated
and locked in place.
Send a lamp off command. Allow the lamp to
cool for 5 - 10 minutes and try again.
Allow fixture to cool.
Clean air filters.
Reduce ambient room temperature.
Disconnect fixture. Check the fixture's internal
power supply switch is set to the correct AC
supply voltage.
