    Chapter 4: Maintaining the DR K10 RAPIDFIRE LOG SPLITTER Regular maintenance is the way to ensure the best performance and long life of your machine. Please refer to this manual for proper maintenance procedures. Before performing any maintenance procedure or inspection, stop the motor, unplug the power cord and wait five (5) minutes to allow all parts to cool.
  • Page 13 Belt Greasing the Rack Guard Note: It is important to grease the Rack every 5 hours for proper operation. Tools and Supplies needed: Guard  Screws General Purpose Grease  Center Clean Rags Guard Guard  Phillips Screwdriver Screws 1. Use a Phillips Screwdriver to remove the 11 Guard Screws, Washers and Lock Washers that secure the Center Guard (Figure 12).
