    BAT TERI E S The dev ce comes w th 4 AA Alkal ne batter es. Sl de and remove the battery compartment cover by press ng the latch. Insert the batter es pay ng attent on to the + (plus) and – (m nus) poles. When batter es are full, they w ll prov de approx mately 25-30 hours of use.

    D E V I C E I NTRO DU C TI O N M ENU The menu screen allows you to access all the FORS Gold+ sett ngs. You can go to the menu screen by press ng one of the up/down/+/- sw tches wh le on the ma n screen and adjust the sett ngs of the dev ce.
  • Page 13 D E V I C E I NTRO DU C TI O N ID MASKING: ID MASKING When the search co l passes over a target, f the target s gnal s strong enough, a 2-d g t target ID w ll be d splayed on the numer c d splay as well as the LCD panel. Target ID ranges from 0 to 99.

    S EA RC H M OD E S GENERAL SEARCH MODE (GEN): Somet mes referred to as the ''All Metal'' mode, th s s the deepest mode of the dev ce and the dev ce w ll start up n th s mode. D erent than the other modes, th s mode has a constant threshold sound n the background.
  • Page 17 S EA RC H M OD E S NOTE: THE DEVICE WILL START IN TONE 4 IN FST AND BST MODES AND DIFFERENT THAN THE OTHER TONE OPTIONS (TONE 1-TONE 2 -TONE 3 -TONE 5) , IT WILL PROVIDE A SINGLE TONE ONLY. IN OTHER WORDS, THE DEVICE WILL PROVIDE 2 DIFFERENT TONES FOR IRON AND GOLD/NON-FERROUS METALS IN THE OTHER TONE OPTIONS BUT IN TONE 4 IT WILL PROVIDE THE SAME TONE FOR ALL METALS (GOLD, NON-FERROUS, FERROUS).
