    To turn on the dev ce, press the power sw tch to (1) pos t on. The startup tone w ll be heard and after the FORS Tech logo s d splayed for a short per od of t me, the ma n screen w ll come up on the LCD panel.

    CONDUCTIVE GROUND (COG): Th s s the spec al mode of FORS Tech des gned for conduct ve ground (wet beach sand, alkal sand etc.). What s spec al about th s mode s that t w ll not react to ron or s m lar targets w th n the same range and that the dev ce w ll ground balance eas ly on all types of ground.

    Ground balance can be done n three ways n FORS Tech: Automat c, Manual or Ground Track ng. Dur ng automat c or manual ground balanc ng, when you press the ground balance button, no matter what mode you are us ng, the dev ce w ll unnot ceably revert to the General Search mode and the aud ble tones w ll be heard accord ngly.

Th s means that you must move the search co l over the target or the target over the search co l, n order for the dev ce to detect t. In the p npo nt mode, however, the dev ce constantly g ves s gnal when you hold the search co l st ll over the target.
