Timing Belt Removal
1. Remove the sea water pump, the drive belt, and the sea water pump's mounting bracket.
2. Remove the alternator, the fresh water pump drive belt, and the alternator's mounting bracket. At this time,
inspect the belt for wear.
6. Remove the fresh water circulating pump
pulley.
7. Remove the fresh water circulating pump.
8. Remove the crankshaft pulley from the
crankshaft.
9. Remove the rocker cover and gasket from the
cylinder head. Inspect the gasket for cuts and
breaks. Replace the gasket if necessary, or
keep it for reinstallation.
10. Remove the upper and lower timing belt
covers along with their associated dust
covers.
