• Nach mehrfachem Blitzen nicht die Reflektorscheibe berühren. Verbrennungsgefahr! • Blitzgerät nicht zerlegen! HOCHSPANNUNG! Im Geräteinneren befinden sich keine Bauteile, die von einem Laien re- pariert werden können. • Bei Serienblitzaufnahmen mit voller Lichtleistung und den kurzen Blitz- folgezeiten des NC-Akku-Betriebes ist darauf zu achten, dass beim 70 MZ-4 nach jeweils 15 Blitzen eine Pause von mindestens 10 Minuten eingehalten wird. -

• Standardfuß oder SCA–Adapter abziehen (Bild 2) 2.2 Stromversorgung und Akkuwarnanzeige Das Blitzgerät kann nur mit einem Metz NC-Akku-Pack 50-40, NiMH-Akku 50-45 (Sonderzubehör) oder einem Power Pack P 50 (Sonderzubehör) betrieben werden. Ein Ladegerät für den Metz Akku-Pack liegt dem Blitzgerät bei. -

2.4.2 Auswahl und Einstellung der Sonderfunktionen Mit der Taste Select können in jeder Blitzbetriebsart zusätzliche Sonderfunk- tionen angewählt werden: Durch Drücken der Taste Select werden die Sonderfunktionen „Beep“ REAR (Synchronisation auf den 2. Verschlussvorhang und Blitzbelichtungs- reihe „Fb“ aufgerufen. Nach Aufrufen der Sonderfunktionen blinkt das Symbol der jeweiligen Funk- tion und der Funktionsstatus (OFF oder On) wird im LC-Display angezeigt! Durch Drehen des Einstellrades wird die angewählte Funktion ein- oder aus- geschaltet. -

4. Der Automatik-Blitzbetrieb Im Automatik-Blitzbetrieb misst ein Fotosensor im mecablitz das vom Motiv reflektierte Licht. Der mecablitz unterbricht die Blitzlichtabstrahlung beim Erreichen der für eine korrekt belichtete Aufnahme erforderlichen Lichtmen- ge. Dadurch muss bei einer Entfernungsänderung keine neue Blendenbe- rechnung und Einstellung vorgenommen werden, solange sich das Objekt nicht außerhalb der angezeigten max. -

der Kamera und des SCA-Adapters). Die Kamera sorgt hierbei automatisch für eine ausgewogene Belichtung zwischen Motiv und Bildhintergrund. Darüber hinaus bieten einige Kameras ein spezielles Aufhellblitz-Programm, das bei Bedarf vom Benutzer gezielt eingestellt werden kann. Die Aktivierung erfolgt je nach Kameratyp an der Kamera oder am mecablitz (siehe dazu die Bedienungsanleitung der Kamera und des SCA–Adapters). -

9. Der Stroboskop-Betrieb (mit 70 MZ-4 nicht möglich) In dieser Betriebsart können mehrere Blitzbelichtungen auf einem Bild gemacht werden. Das ist besonders interessant bei Bewegungsstudien und Effektaufnah- men (Bild 7). Beim Stroboskop-Betrieb werden mehrere Blitze mit einer be- stimmten Blitzfrequenz abgegeben. Die Funktion ist daher nur mit einer Teil- lichtleistung von max. -

• Blitzfrequenz f(Hz) einstellen. Dazu das Einstellrad gegen den Uhrzeiger- sinn drehen, bis neben dem Pfeil f(Hz) steht. Einstellrad drücken, durch Verdrehen die gewünschte Blitzfrequenz f(Hz) einstellen und durch erneu- ten Druck auf das Einstellrad speichern. Als Entfernungswert wird der Abstand zum bewegten Objekt verwen- det. -

12. Sonderfunktionen Die Sonderfunktionen des mecablitz können durch Drücken der Taste Select nacheinander aufgerufen und mit dem Einstellrad ein- oder ausgeschaltet und gespeichert werden. 12.1 Beep-Funktion (mit 70 MZ-4 nicht möglich) Mit der Beep-Funktion kann sich der Benutzer einige Gerätefunktionen des mecablitz akustisch mitteilen lassen. -

Nach dem Drücken der Taste löst der mecablitz sein Einstelllicht aus. Im Metz-REMOTE-Betrieb (TTL- und Automatik-REMOTE) wird durch das Ein- stelllicht des Controllers auch bei allen Slaves gleichzeitig ein Einstelllicht ab- gegeben (bei 40 MZ-... mit SCA 3080-Adapter ab Version M1 oder einem 3082-Adapter). -

12.5 Anpassung der Brennweite an das Kameraformat Diese Funktion gibt dem Benutzer die Möglichkeit, die Anzeige der jeweili- gen Reflektorposition des mecablitz dem Kameraformat anzupassen. Da- durch können die Objektiv-Brennweiten von Mittelformat-Kameras (4,5x6, 6x6, 6x7 und 6x9) oder APS-Kameras mit der Anzeige am mecablitz in Übereinstimmung gebracht werden. -

12.11 Die Rapid-Funktion (mit 70 MZ-4 nicht möglich) Im A- und TTL-Betrieb hängen die Blitzfolgezeiten davon ab, wie viel Licht für die Aufnahme benötigt wird. Bei voller Lichtleistung liegen die Blitzfolgezei- ten bei max. 5 Sekunden. Ist diese Blitzfolgezeit zu lange, dann kann die Rapid-Funktion eingeschaltet werden. -

• Einstellrad in Pfeilrichtung drücken und damit die Einstellung speichern. Wird das Einstellrad nicht gedrückt, so wird der Korrekturwert nach 5 s automatisch gespeichert. Das Pfeilsymbol neben „EV“ hört auf zu blinken. Eine manuelle Blitzbelichtungskorrektur im TTL-Betrieb kann nur dann erfolgen, wenn die Kamera diese Funktion unterstützt! Wenn die Ka- mera diese Funktion nicht unterstützt, so kann am mecablitz zwar ein Korrekturwert eingestellt werden, dieser wird jedoch nicht wirksam! -

Filmempfindlichkeitsänderung oder der +/- Korrektur an der Kamera kann eine normale Belichtungskorrektur durchgeführt werden. Dabei werden jedoch sämtliche Anteile an einer Aufnahme beeinflusst. Aus diesem Grund ist bei einigen Kameras eine spezielle Blitzbelichtungskorrektur möglich. Mit dieser Blitzbelichtungskorrektur bleibt die Gesamtbelichtung erhalten und lediglich die dunkleren, abgeschatteten Partien werden mit dem Blitz- gerät aufgehellt. -
