    Connect the Base Station To telephone To wall outlet wall jack Telephone line AC power cord adapter Insert the AC power adapter and the telephone line cord into the base station, as shown above. Insert the other end of the AC power adapter into the wall outlet and the telephone line cord into a telephone wall jack.

    Install and Charge the Handset Batteries Slide open the battery compartment cover. Place the battery pack into the battery compartment, with the battery connector plugged in, as shown. Slide the battery compartment cover back until it clicks into place. Place the handset on the base charging cradle to charge for at least 4 hours. A beep indicates that the handset is properly placed on the base.

    3. GET TO KNOW YOUR PHONE Overview of the Handset MENU/SELECT In idle mode: Press to access the main menu. In sub-menu mode: Press to confirm the selection. During a call: Press to access Intercom / Phonebook / Redial List / Call List. UP/CALL LIST/VOLUME+ In idle mode: Press to access the call list.

    Overview of the Base Station 1. CHARGING CRADLE ANS/ON/OFF Press to turn the answering system on or off. Press to page all system handsets. Press and hold for about five seconds, the base station enters into registration mode. 4. MESSAGE WINDOW Shows the message number and status.

Respective character table will be used when corresponding menu language is selected. This will be helpful when storing a name in the phonebook and renaming your handset. In editing mode, a cursor is displayed to indicate the current text entry position.

    PHONEBOOK Your phone can store up to 20 private phonebook entries with names and numbers. Each phonebook entry can have a maximum of 24 digits for the phone number and 2 characters for the name. You can also select different melodies for your phonebook entries.

    CALLER DISPLAY (NETWORK DEPENDENT) Call List This feature is available if you have subscribed to the Caller Line Identification service from your telephone company. Your phone can store up to 0 received calls with date/time information in the Call List. The number will be shown on the LCD display when the phone is ringing.

    VOICE MAIL (NETWORK DEPENDENT) Voice Mail Waiting Indication (VMWI) is an indication given to you when a new voice mail message is waiting on the telephone service provider. This feature is available if you have subscribed to the voicemail service from your telephone service provider. You can press and hold 1 to dial the voice mail number directly to listen to your voice mail messages.

    8.2.5 Set Alert Tones A single beep is emitted when you press a key. You can turn on or off the key tone. You can also turn on the alert tones when low battery and out of range are detected. Low battery tone will be emitted while you are talking on the phone to alert you that you need to charge your battery.

    Base Settings 8.3.1 Set the Base Ringer Melody You can set the base ringer melody level. A total of 5 melodies are provided for your selection. Press and then to select BS SETTINGS. Press and then to select BS RINGER. Press and then to select the desired ringer melody.

    ANSWERING MACHINE Your phone includes a telephone answering machine that records unanswered calls when it is on. The LCD display (two digits seven segment display) on the base will show the number of the messages when the answering machine is on. The answering machine can store up to 59 messages within the maximum recording time of approximately 4 minutes.

    9.5.2 Record your Outgoing Message (OGM) You can record your own OGM for ANS & REC mode or Answer Only mode. When you record your own OGM, it will be used when the answering machine answers the call. If your personalized OGM is deleted, the pre-set OGM will be restored automatically.
