Reading lamps and interior lighting
Controls in roof console for front reading lamps
and passenger compartment lighting.
Reading lamp left-hand front

Passenger compartment lighting
on with a short press on button (2), at the same
time automatic lighting is activated, see
page 96. Passenger compartment lighting is
switched off with a short press on button (2).
All lighting in the passenger compartment can
be switched on in ignition position I and II as

well as when the engine is running. The lighting
can also be activated within 10 minutes after:
•
the engine has been switched off and the
ignition is in position 0
•
the car has been unlocked but the engine
has not been started
Following which, it is switched off automati-
cally.
Front roof lighting
The front reading lamps are switched on or off
by pressing the relevant button in the roof con-
sole.

Rear reading lamps
Reading lamp left-hand rear, On/Off
Reading lamp right-hand rear, On/Off
The lamps are switched on or off by pressing
the relevant button.
There are also reading lamps for the third row
of seats in cars that seat seven.
Courtesy lighting
Courtesy lighting (and passenger compart-
ment lighting) is switched on and off respec-
tively when a side door is opened or closed.
