Loading cards

When scanning plastic cards, scan cards one at a time using the
following procedure.
Open the document feed tray.

Vertically insert the card directly into the feed inlet, and with the back

facing up.
Adjust the document guide so that it makes contact with both edges

of the card.
The card will be fed when you start scanning.
If you are scanning an embossed card, load the card with the
embossed side facing up.
Embossed cards may not be scanned correctly, depending on the
type of embossment.
After a card is scanned, it is ejected from the back of the scanner. Do
not place objects behind the scanner.
