Read the engine operation and maintenance manuals before starting or working on the engine.

Diesel Engine Cooling System (If Equipped)

SYSTEM DAMAGE HAZARD!
• Open the engine cooling system's seacock or ball valve BEFORE starting the engine.
• Keep the engine cooling system's seacock or ball valve Open while the engine is running.
The diesel engine cooling system circulates
seawater through the engine to reduce
engine temperatures.
• Open the seawater intake ball valve before
starting the engine.
• Keep the ball valve Open while the engine
is running.
• Check the cooling system's seawater
strainer for leaks and debris every time you
use your boat.
• Read the seawater strainer instruction sheet
for instructions about cleaning the
seawater strainer.
