OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS 3.1 CONTROLS 3.1.1 Familiarize yourself with all controls before operating the mower. 3.1.2 Motion Control Levers: Located on each side of the console. The left lever controls the flow of hydraulic oil from the left hydrostatic pump to the left drive wheel motor.

  • Page 22 For Exmark Mower Parts Call 606-678-9623 or 606-561-4983 3.1.8 Voltmeter: Located next to the Coolant Temperature Gauge at the front of the left fuel tank. The voltmeter measures the voltage output of the alternator. Both high and low voltages will potentially damage the battery.

Remove any debris on or around the radiator that may restrict airflow. 5. Check to see if the water pump/alternator belt is intact. If belt is missing, do not run unit, as unit can overheat and damage the engine.

Hold switch according to chart in section 3.1.13. Turn the ignition switch to the “START” position. Release the ignition switch as soon as the engine starts.

Push in on the switch to the “STOP” position stopping the PTO. 3.3.6 Stopping Engine: Bring unit to a full stop. Disengage the PTO, move motion control levers out to the neutral lock position and set parking brake.

Raise the deck to the 5” (12.7 cm) height position (also transport position) and take all force off of the two large deck lift springs by loosening the nuts at the front of each spring.

Self-tensioning idler, adjust as follows: Stop engine, wait for all moving parts to stop, and remove key. Engage parking brake. Check to make sure the center of the bolt head in the center of the spring loaded pulley, on left side engine deck support, is positioned between the centers of the two alignment holes in the left support plate (See Figure 9).
