Troubleshooting
Cause & Remedy
• Make sure the unit is not being used.
• Memory is full. Erase unnecessary
messages (p. 49).
• The handset user is operating the Answering
System, or is on the phone. Wait until the IN
USE/CHARGE indicator light goes out.
• Make sure you enter the correct remote code
(p. 51).
• The Answering System may not respond if
the tones are too short to activate the unit.
Press each button firmly.
• The Answering System is off. Turn it on
(p. 53).
• Someone is operating the Answering
System.
• You are too far from the base unit. Walk
closer to the base unit.
• The unit is recording a message. To answer
the call, press [ ] or [
• To answer the call, press [SP-PHONE] , [
or [ ] . Try again from the beginning after
hanging up.
• To answer the call, press [SP-PHONE] , [
or [ ] . To resume playback, press
[MESSAGE/SLOW TALK] after hanging up.
