Causes
The number of scanned
pages exceeded maximum
page capacity.
The scan could not be
completed because the
maximum number of pages
that can be scanned by this
machine was exceeded
during writing to the
Memory device.
A non-writable medium is
being used.
There is no memory device
inserted.
The scan could not be
completed because there
was insufficient memory at
the time of saving to the
memory device.
The machine is using another
function such as copying.
You pressed [Start] key
without selecting a sender's
name.
The machine failed to send
the file. A network error may
have occurred during
sending.
The SMTP authentication e-
mail address and the
administrator's e-mail
address do not match.
When Messages Are Displayed on the Control Panel
Solutions
Select whether to send the data so far.
Reduce the number of documents to be
written to the memory device and try
again.
Use a different medium.
Insert a memory device, or check to
see whether the memory device is
properly inserted in the media slot.
Select whether or not to save the
scanned document to the memory
device.
Retry scanning after the operation with
the other function is completed.
Select the sender's name.
Try the operation once more. If the
message is still shown, the network
may be crowded. Contact the
administrator.
