Power Save Mode

By default, power save is enabled on OS10K switches. When power save mode is enabled, unneeded
power supplies are shut down to conserve energy. Only the power supplies required to provide N+1
redundancy remain on.
When power save mode is disabled, all available power supplies are switched on at all times.
To change power save mode status, use the powersupply powersave command.
Note. Because N+1 redundancy applies only to active power supplies, the switch will go down if power is
simultaneously lost to all active power supplies while this feature is enabled.
