Removing the towball arm
• Unhitch the trailer.
• Remove the protecting cap.
Insert the key and unlock in an
anticlockwise direction.
• Hold the towball arm. Pull the
handwheel out, turn it clockwise
until it clicks and remove the
towball arm.
• Release the handwheel.
When unlocked in this way, the
towball arm can be reinserted at
any time.
• Insert the plug into its seat.

• Reinstall the cover (3- and 5-door
models only) and the two screws in
the apron beneath the rear bumper.
• If the system is not used for a
prolonged period, set the assembly
to its locked position: Press the
release lever forwards.
To avoid risk of injury,
never unlock the towball
arm with the trailer attached.
Maintenance
Keep the system clean. Periodically
lubricate bearings, sliding surfaces,
and locking balls with resin-free
grease or oil and the lock with
graphite.
Remove the towball arm
and protect the seat with
the plug before steam cleaning
your vehicle.
Keep a note of the key number.
