Any electromechanical device requires occasional troubleshooting. However, most problems that arise can usually
be solved with a bit of thought and common sense. Many of these problems occur because the batteries are not
fully charged or because the batteries are worn down and can no longer hold a charge.
What if all the systems on my PTV seem to be “dead”?
n Make certain that the key is fully inserted into the key switch.
n Check that the batteries are fully charged. See section VI. “Batteries and Charging.”
n Make certain the battery pack is seated properly.
n Push in the main circuit breaker’s reset button. See section V. “Your PTV.”
n Make certain the front-to-rear harness is firmly connected.
What if the motor runs but my PTV does not move?
n Your PTV was probably left in freewheel mode.
n When the manual freewheel lever is pushed forward, the brakes are disengaged and all power to the motor/
transaxle is cut.
n Pull the manual freewheel lever backward to restore normal operation to your PTV.
What if the main circuit breaker trips repeatedly? See section V. “Your PTV.”
n Charge the PTV's batteries more frequently. See section VI. “Batteries and Charging.”
n If the problem persists, call The SCOOTER Store service line.
n See section VI. “Batteries and Charging” or IV. “Specifications” for information about your PTV's battery type.
What if the battery condition meter dips way down and the motor surges or hesitates when I press my
PTV's throttle control lever?
n Fully charge your PTV's batteries. See section VI. “Batteries and Charging.”
n If the problem persists, call The SCOOTER Store service line.
If you experience any problems with your PTV that you are not able to solve, contact The SCOOTER Store for
information on maintenance, and service.
