4.6 Flue gas connection

For the installation of the flue gas connection, the local
regulations must be met.
A correct dimensioning and allocation in the chimney
ensures the perfect discharge of the flue gases. This is
necessary as the Vaillant gas-fired hot water cylinder
offers high efficiency to save energy.
• The flue duct (1) (diameter of 90 mm) is inserted in the
socket of the into draught diverter (2)
• It must ascend vertically for at least 50 cm before a
bend may be mounted
• The flue duct must ascend towards the chimney

Before connection to the chimney, contact the
local chimney sweep.
Attention!
The flue duct must not occupy free space in the
chimney.
Adaptation of a flue duct with a dia. of 80 mm:
• Insert a reduction ring 3 in the draught diverter
• Push the flue duct 1 (dia. 80 mm) into the reduction
ring 3

A reduction ring is available for adaptation to a
flue duct diameter of 80 mm.
4.7 Mounting the flue sensor (accessory)
The accessory (art. n°: 000 675) consists of:
– a temperature sensor with cable and plug
– coupling
– cable duct
To mount the flue sensor, proceed as follows:
• Fasten the temperature sensor 1 outside the draught
diverter
• Stick the cable duct 2 on the appliance casing
• Pass the cable of the temperature sensor through the
cable duct
• Remove the cap of the gas section
• Screw off the union nut 3 of the thermocouple and
remove it from the connection piece of the gas section
• Scew the coupling 4 into the connection piece
• Insert the plug 5 of the temperature sensor in the cou-
pling
• Screw the union nut of the thermocouple into the cou-
pling
